IHILANI SPA INTRODUCES A NEW EXOTIC FLORAL
SIGNATURE PUA KAI PRODUCT LINE
Guests May Now Take Home the Ihilani Spa Experience
KO OLINA, Hawaii –The sweet fragrance of florals is wafting through the Ihilani Spa with the unveiling of its new signature line of exotic and sensual body products.
Pua Kai, which means "flower of the sea", was specially designed for the Ihilani Spa by Warren Botanicals on the Big Island of Hawaii, a Hawaii-based company specializing in the development, manufacture and marketing of natural aromatherapy products.
Comprised of all natural aromatherapy, the main ingredients in the products – ginger, jasmine, neroli, rose oil and pure coconut oil – work to calm the nerves and release tension; uplift the spirit and invigorate; soothe dehydrated and inflamed skin; stimulate and tone skin while shielding against external damage; and warm and decongest the body.
"We wanted a scent that invokes romanticism and well-being," said Robin Desha, director of the Ihilani Spa.
The Pua Kai products – massage and body oil, body exfoliation, bath crystals and body butter – are used in the Ihilani Spa to revive and exhilarate guests' bodies, minds and spirits. The spa offers a 50-minute Pua Kai body scrub; and a 50-minute body mask using the body exfoliate and body butter.
"Once bathed, scrubbed and then unwrapped from the treatment, the alluring scent will linger on your polished skin and passion may bloom for you, too," said Sherrie Strausfogel, author of the new book, Hawaii's Spa Experience.
"I feel Pua Kai represents love," said Sharon Warren, president and founder of Warren Botanicals. "It is a very romantic scent and one that will open the hearts of all who use her."
Appropriately enough, Pua Kai is named for the romantic legend of the Naupaka blossom – the symbol of the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort & Spa.
"In a tragic-sweet Hawaiian legend, it [the naupaka flower] symbolizes the separation of two lovers and their eternal love," Strausfogel added.
The 50-minute Pua Kai body scrub is $115. Prices are exclusive of tax and gratuity.
Create Your Own Oasis
"Home Sweet Home" takes on wondrous meaning with this new signature line. With Pua Kai, luxurious pampering will restore you to a state of relaxation and rejuvenation in the comforts of your own home.
"Guests have raved about the treatments and services that we offer them in our spa, and we wanted to provide them with a way to continue their spa experience and the benefits of it at home," Hines said.
The Pua Kai line, which may be used individually or together, includes:
Massage and body oil – The oil may be applied daily after showering, following the
Pua Kai body exfoliation, or in a full-body massage.
Bath crystals – Use these crystals for a romantic and re-mineralizing bath. Follow
with the Pua Kai massage and body oil or Pua Kai body butter.
Body exfoliation – This exfoliation leaves skin feeling freshly cleansed and deeply
hydrated. After rinsing, apply the Pua Kai massage and body oil or body butter.
Body butter – This body butter tones and thoroughly hydrates, leaving skin soft and
moisturized. Apply to the body after the Pua Kai body exfoliation or following a
bath with Pua Kai bath crystals.
